Description
LBBC was founded in the summer of 2020; a global pandemic never got in the way of having a good time in Guernsey.

A meeting of minds between three champions of making beer, selling beer and drinking beer.

This shared passion and symbiotic relationship led to a, ‘holy s**t, this thing could work’ moment. We got on and did what needed to be done, realised the potential and made some kick ass beer.

Christmas present from the sister-in-law. Opaque metallic orange. Foamy white head. Aroma is earthy and woody. Malts. Very peripheral peach. Flavourwise the peach is slightly more prominent but it's still way out on the periphery. Sour edge. Woody. Underlying malts. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft-average carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Really basic stuff. And rhe peach is barely present.

Panda at home, thanks to Mark the Bearded Avenger, 25/01/2026.
Clear golden with a thin just off white cap that leaks to the edge.
Nose is melon, tangerine, grass, airy malts.
Taste comprises orange zest, floral nip, grass, citric tinged straw, melon, hint of biscuit.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close splashed with modest hop bitterness with a light astringent edge.
Pretty weak offering in this era.

Can from my sister-in-law. Clear gold. Bubbly foamy translucent white head. Aroma has tart citrus, quinine andxwatery fruit. Cardboard hops. Flavourwise it's rather bitter. Resin, quinine and lemon. Underlying malts. All rather one-noted. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry astringent finish. Boring SIPA - they've tried to.pack in happiness but this is a blunt tool.

Can from my sister-in-law. Slightly hazy opaque gold. Foamy white head. Aroma has sweet sugary citrus, malts and veg. Flavourwise it is quite bitter - citrus and quinine. Yet somewhat stunted by a cardboard element. But it's the quinine that is the focus here. Light. Thin. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry astringent finish. Very bitter yet simultaneously dull like most AFs.

Sights & Swills Summer Holiday Beer#117. ST. PETER PORT. From June 2025. Lightly hazed golden with a small head. It's very dry tasting, and in aftertaste too, but there's a modicum of tropical fruit, leaving it drinkable, but unexciting. It's fruitiest in its aroma.

Sights & Swills Summer Holiday Beer#116. ST. PETER PORT. From June 2025. Dark brown with a head. Easy textured stout, not hitting the heights of roasted, with something of a floral influence in this respect, in both aroma and taste.
