Description
Our name connects back to a time when Cocoon’s founders Matt and Mike were young kids fascinated by an ever-expanding world, and as part of that exploration began collecting butterflies.

These formative moments have had a lasting impact on our perspectives of the world and provide a rich set of memories for us as individuals. We now gravitate to activities, places, businesses, and people that provide such direct, authentic, and visceral emotions.

Cocoon Brewing aims to celebrate the vibrancy of life felt, experienced and shared, not simply observed.

Sometime Cocoon nails it...sometimes they don't. Seltzery, watery body. Hops don't really shine. Thin body...not that enjoyable at all.

16oz can. Murky brown-burgundy body. Thin, off-white head. Aroma is a little soapy, flavor is right on. Body doesn't have the fullness/carbonation of a Belgian example...most don't. OK, but nothing special.

Pint can from Wagner Market, 5/27/24. Murky orange, large tan head, average retention. Aroma of orange, grapefruit, pale malt, and an herbal note. Taste is grapefruit, lime, melon, orange, pith. Thin. Seems stale but was canned 14 days ago. Meh.

9 August 2024. Tim's BBQ Extravaganza with Seba, Maria & Anke; many thanks to Tim for hosting & sharing the can!

A: hazy yellow, stable, frothy, white head.
A: lime, orange zest, mandarin peel, old grape.
T: sweetish white grape & mandarin, sourish lime berry skin.
F: floral hops, bitter grape, citrus zest, bit spicy.
P: medium body, slick texture, average carbonation.
Decent, yet somewhat inadequate as a Hazy.

16oz can. Hop tone is OK, but the body isn't so great, perhaps over-oated, or maybe lutra yeast or something...either way not such a great mouthfeel...hollow. Has the depth of a Session IPA...not that impressive.

16oz can. Lemony, I would have guessed Motueka. Tasty, big NZ hop tone. Riwaka takes over of course. Nice hop display. Not really a Double IPA of any sort. Hazy Pale Ale? OK.

Tap at Cocoon. Tan body, steady head. Nice herbal hop tone, perhaps not as dry as other noble hops. Good
