Courtesy of bergstaden Pours clear reddish brown with no head. Aroma has notes of honey, raisin, alcohol and brown sugar. Taste is heavy sweet with a long warm, raisin, honey and brown sugar finish. Body is full, texture is oily, no carbonation.

Bottle. Clear golden, thick, almost oily looking body without any head. Aroma of sweetish honey and warming alcohol. Taste is very sweet honey, some caramel, high alcohol but somehow balancing between the sweetness and the alcohol. Full bodied and long lasting aftertaste. It doesn’t feel very complex, not many flavors beside the honey and alcohol, still a rather pleasant sipper.

Bottle. #79/94. Kindly shared by bergstaden. It's a clear, deep golden colored, still and headless. Honey and flavor driven aroma with a good dash of caramel. Alcohol, wood and vanilla hints. It's sweet and warming on the palate, smooth and with a light sour touch. The caramel and rum are more evident in the flavor, the vanilla too, and there's a hint of rum in the finish. Some honey and oak too, and a mostly sweet, caramel and honey finish. Quite balanced this one, especially the flavor, complex and tasteful, but perhaps a bit sweetish due to the caramel. 190927

On tap at Twisted Horn, pours a crystal clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out the odd combo of apples and potatoes. Flavour is, as a result, very dried out, with a bitter apple skin character. Sweet potatoes don't really impart any flavour, just add to the dryness of this. Meh.

On tap at Twisted Horn, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out wild character, dry apple skins, and apple core. Flavour is similar, with apple skins and core, medium sweetness and good drinkability overall. Finishes with lots of apple core. Nicely done.

On tap at Twisted Horn, pours a clear copper golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out fairly dry apples, with almost a sake yeast character. Flavour is medium sweet, with light apple skins, a little must and some core. Nicely constructed and highly drinkable.

On tap at Twisted Horn, pours a deep dark purple with a small pink head. Aroma brings out dry tart blueberry skins upfront, followed by dry honey. Flavour is medium sweet, with lots of blueberries, medium honey sweetness and some oranges. Sweet and simple, nothing overly complex. Decent.

Flavour is low-medium sweet, with plenty of kiwi and strawberries. Orange blossom honey follows, imparting a lightly sweet finish. Nice mix of adjuncts here. Convincing fruity mead.

Flavour is rather dry, out shitloads of pineapple upfront, followed by some papaya and medium sweet pineapple. Fun fruity alcopop, but to call this a mead is a stretch. Meh.
