Tap at Grub. Aroma is a little spicy, lots of malt, touch of resin. Taste is nice, fruity, quite bitter, biscuity malt but all about the hops. Sticky, resinous. Nice.

Reviewed from notes.
The appearance was a muddy amber color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that fell off fairly quick. Light lace.
The aroma had some sweet to roasty nuts and a nice caramel/toffee base malt. Slight hay to grassy hop features. Swift citrusy hops pop at the end.
The flavor softens to the sweet side of the malts with the hops even getting a bit lighter and barely punching any hoppiness. Light aftertaste of nuts and malts. Quick dry malty finish.
The feel was roughly medium on the body, maybe just a tad under with fairly good sessionable trait about it. Carbonation felt good and the ABV felt good.
Overall, nicely done brown ale somewhat wanting to be an American one, but perhaps a blend of English to American.

Bottle - Soured sweet dark malts. Deep dark brown with a small beige head. Dark sweet malts, syrupy notes and dark sweet finish. Not great.

Dark brown. Not much head. There’s a fair bit of bourbon nose, lots of chocolate, toffee. Sweet, touch of bourbon, good balance but not actually that rich. Body seems a touch light, even though there’s quite a bit of sugar to this. Not sure what’s up...this isn’t as punchy as I’d like.

22 oz. bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out a decent amount of bourbon barrel character upfront, followed by a little vanilla and some roast. Flavour is along the same lines, with moderate bourbon character, light tartness, and a little roast. Something is a little off here with the tartness. It's okay, but certainly off the mark.

Pale golden with light haze under a white head. Herbal, grass, dandelion, must. Some sweet bright fruit notes, too. Light sweet toasty grain. I didn’t pick up much from the wine barrels but this is a very well made saison.

Sample at Gabf. Pours a clear copper with small white head. The aroma is cherry skin, oak, spice. Thin body, tart cherry, lacto, oak, spice finish, very good.
