Cask at Big Rock Urban Brewery, Vancouver
End of the cask, the look is quite murky, but the aroma is fruity, and in the final the spruce becomes more evident.

Draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver
Black color. Bread aroma, some stale feeling too. Dark bread flavor, some roasted malts, dry but smooth mouthfeel; very light sourness, maybe the Blueberry.
Nothing interesting here.

Dark amber color, clean. Quite sweet and with a lot of caramel; too much high on the slices for my taste, unpleasantly; hence the smoke is covered, and almost annoying; it has some acidity and a metallic mouthfeel.
Strong, but trying to juggle too many pins.
Very unpleasant.

Cask @ Garrick’s Head. Dark brown. Not much bubbly head. Aroma is all lapsang souchong. Hell yea. Delicious, all lapsang, but with that roasty, tarry intensity of Pothole. God damn, the impy barely there for support, the tannins come in a little to mix with the toffeeish sweetness in the finish. Gotta love this...better than either component and the smoke lingers on the palate into the next life. Best gimmick cask ever. I have always wanted someone to make a lapsang beer and finally someone nailed it.

Draft - Cocoa and toasted notes. Deep brown with a light brown head. Chocolate and roast with some blueberry and sweetness in the finish. Although it lives up to its name, nothing complex or interesting.

Smoke is quite noticeable and really doesn’t blend with all the sweetness this beer has

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours a dark mahogany with a small off-white head. Aroma brings out lots of pured pumpkin, a touch of smoke and some caramel. Flavour brings out pured pumpkin, pumpkin spices, caramel and a touch of smoke. Quite a bit better than the regular one - the smoke brings out just enough complexity. Good stuff.
