Growler pours out a golden copper color. Nose is nice sweet honey maple syrup. Taste is more of the nice honey maple syrup. Man I want to put this on my pancakes.

Bottle courtesy of Linus. Deep purple, almost black, pour. Pleasant mixed red berry nose with very light honey. Currant & raspberries come through a lot. Light leather & minerals. Tiny sweet, sour & fruity taste. Round, tart & tiny dry mouthfeel. Solid semi-sweet mead with plenty of berry tartness & some additional oak complexity.

375ml bottle Thanks to Steve. Pours out a muddy copper brown. Nose is scotch barrel sweet honey some earthy herbal notes and a odd spice. Taste is more of the sweet honey funky musty herbal notes and some barrel.

Sampled from bottle at kermis. Clear reddish amber with thin greyish head. Strawberry lemonade syrup, vanilla, milky chocolate and caramel fudge, cranberries or tannins, dark honey, light milkfilm sickliness, or hazlenut cream. Massive sweet and light tannin bitter. Medium body, bit (tannin) dry in the finish, soft carbonation. Very nice.

8-3-8-3-17 (3.9) Bottle shared at home. Near clear amber red with some small ring bubbles. Pop of the cork on opening and noticeable carbonation. Aroma shows of the strawberries with floral honey notes. When it hits the mouth the aroma characters show up the chocolate and vanilla still with plenty of strawberry but in a lightly decaying way, also cranberry notes developing. The additions unfortunately cover over the honey characteristics a little too much. Flavour is heavy sweet with moderate bitterness behind suggesting the chocolate. Medium to full bodied with a dryness in the finish and an unusual light carbonation.
