24/1/2025. Bottle shared by minutemat, cheers Mat! Pours clear dark amber brown with a small bubbly off-white head. Aroma is bready, malty, stewed fruits, rye, chocolate, very slightly smoked. Quite sweet with mild bitterness. Medium body, average carbonation. Quite enjoyable.

75cl bottle from Microbrasserie Bon Vent, Calais. Pours a deep hazed brown, with a large frothy beige head. Aroma brings a rich malty sweetness, hints of rye, brown bread and crushed nuts. Flavour profile continues in a similar fashion with a tantalising amber malt sweetness coursing throughout. Really quite a satisfying brown ale with a very pleasant hoppy side.

Draft @ Bon Vent, Calais. Pours opaque gold, small white head. Great crisp pale, simplistic, with appealing fruity accents. Nice.
