Bottle from Shiny Brewery courtesy of dad, cheers dad!consumed at home Friday 3rd July 2015 Another Shiny beer that is lemony in colour with a white head a large frothy white head that soon departs, a dab of spice, it’s lovely. In the mouth this is tangy with a little sherbert. Fruity, the Junga hops are remarkably similar to the Nugget hops we’ve just had in the other Shiny ale. Soft in the mouth, a soft squidgy lemonyness. Very good. A7 A3 T8 P3 Ov15 3.6

Sweet and hoprrpy with a steady bitter bite, dry and a little rustiness across the roof of the mouth, There is a slight tart lemony cheesecake bite. It’s good, not great but good. Cask. Shakespeares, Sheffield. Pale gold, with a light haze. Bubbly, lasting, white head. Big aroma of pineapple cube sweets. Lemon sherbet. Some blackcurrant. Taste is lip sticking sweet. Not much relief from it. Hint of bitterness pokes through later. Feels sticky. Finishes more sweet than bitter. Couldn’t get on with this one. Too sticky.

Cask at Aston Manor Cricket Club Beer Festival; clear golden yellow pour with a frothy white head, light pine and grapefruit aroma, taste has sweet malts, lemon puff biscuits, some pineapple.

Cask at the Victoria, Birmingham. Poured a clear dark brown with a frothy light tan head. The aroma is smooth buttery yeast, grassy hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a smooth, sligjtly yeasty, light citrus, grass hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Cask at the Southampton Arms, London on 24th February 2015. Amber with laceless off-white shallow decaying foamtop. Rich hoppy aroma with cheesy yeasts. Tangy citric lemon and grapefruit hops in-mouth with savoury touches. Bitter lemon and grapefruit citrus end with residual grassiness. Light bodied with light, but textured mouthfeel.
