Description
Shiny was established in 2012, as a small scale operation, brewing in Derby mainly for its brew pub. Now based in the beautiful village of Little Eaton, just outside of Derby. The brewery is based in the centre of the village and has a taproom which features all Shiny’s new beers and one off pilots. Our beer story began with untraditional highly hopped cask beer and now has evolved into brewing a range of cask, keg and cans, the ethos is still the same brew beers we love to drink which means lots of hops! All beers are unfined and a good number of our core range is certified Gluten Free.

Cask at Tap East - Stratford, London. Pours clear, deep golden-brown with a creamy, light beige head. The nose has rich, bready malts, ripe orange and juicy pine. Medium sweet flavor with a bit of sugary bread, light toast, sticky pine, orange, mango, hints of cocoa and toffee. Medium bodied withfine carbonation; well conditioned. Sweet on the finish with resinous, oily hops, low bitterness, ripe orange, bread, papaya, mango. Quite tasty and highly drinkable. I like it.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Poured a clear light amber with a thin white head. The aroma is malt big tropical fruit. The flavour is medium bitter with a big citrus fruit light hop palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Rather like an alcoholic fruit juice, but very tasty all the same.
