Bottle from Beer Emporium, Bristol. Poured dark brown with an average sized off-white head. Aroma of malt, chocolate, vanilla, lightly roasted. Medium to heavy sweetness, moderate roasted bitterness. Medium body, slightly oily texture, soft carbonation.

Cask @ Head Of Steam, Huddersfield. Slightly hazed deeper amber coloured ale with a small creamy head. Has a hop-malt balance to it, some fruitiness and a dryness.

Cask at the Guildford Arms. Pours clear dark brown with a short-lived bubbly beige head. Aromas of chocolate and vanilla, some dark berries. Taste is more chocolate and vanilla, sweet. Slightly thin.

Cask @ Beer House, Bradford. Golden coloured with a hoppy character. Light with its lemon flavour.

Cask at CBC Clerko, 23/02/17. Black with a decent tan head. Nose is light spice, chocolate, smoked malts, fruit rinds. Taste comprises tarte fruit rinds, cocoa powder, toffee, lactic tang, earthy, spice. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying close. A little overly sharp and tangy for me.

Cask @ Crown & Kettle, Manchester. Amber-brown with a small creamy head. Has gritty bitter dark malts, but not overly bitter, is crisp, with a hint chocolate.

Cask @ Fox & Goose, Hebden Bridge. Blonde with a small head and a rubbery nose. It’s a light hoppy session ale.

Cask at CBC, Clerkenwell on 28th January 2017. Yellow gold with thin off-white part-lacing foam. Fruity citrus aroma and liquid pass, leaving a sweet grapefruit finish. Zingy mouthfeel and a light body. Refreshing and satisfying.
