Pour is a black with a small white head. Aroma is cocoa nips and a decent bitter bakers chocolate. Flavor is more bakers chocolate and some coffee. Creamy mouthfeel and the finish is a decent roasted malt. Thin body but alcohol is hidden well. If you called this a imperial porter I would agree with you but as a impy stout this was a bit thin.

12 ounce can into lager glass, no can dating. Pours lightly hazy pale golden yellow color with a small dense and rocky white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of lemon, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, wood, pepper, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Touch of fruity/yeasty aromas, but not overwhelming. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of pils malts and earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of lemon, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, wood, pepper, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, herbal, woody, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of lemon, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, wood, pepper, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great robustness and balance of pils malts and earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and no lingering hop astringency after the finish. Moderately crisp/clean finishing. very clean on lager flavors, with minimal fruity/yeasty notes present. Moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth and moderately bready/grainy/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Light lingering resins/rinds through the glass. No warming alcohol as expected of 4.5%. Overall this is a delicious Czech pilsner. All around nice robustness and balance of pils malts and earthy hop flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink with moderately bitter/drying finish, not overly aggressive. Very flavorful and not watery for the ABV. Great balance of clean pils malts and earthy noble hop flavors. No residual sweetness with crisp dryness. A very enjoyable offering, and impressive style example.

Sample at Bier Markt for the CBW Collaboration Kickoff on 10/12/2018. The beer is a slightly hazy orange color with a thin white head that recedes gradually to a film. Sticky strings of lace. Fruit, yeast, hops and malt in the nose. Light to medium body with flavors of grassy hops, citrus and malt. The finish is fruity with a mildly bitter hop aftertaste. Decent overall.

Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malt, vanilla, pecans, and light earthy hop/fruity yeast notes; with great strength. Taste of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, nutty butter pecans, vanilla, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, biscuit, and toasted brown bread; with lighter notes of coffee, smoke, char, dark fruit, herbal, pepper, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Light-moderate herbal/spicy hop and roast/char bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, nutty butter pecans, vanilla, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, biscuit, toasted brown bread, light coffee/smoke/char, herbal, pepper, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt, vanilla, pecans, and light earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; with a great roast/hop bitter/sweet balance; and no acrid/astringent flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering hop/roast/char bitterness. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy, and fairly sticky/chalky balanced mouthfeel that is good. A bit thin, but not watery. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5%. Overall this is a delicious flavored American porter. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt, vanilla, pecans, and light earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the modestly bitter/drying finish. Very flavorful for the ABV. Great balance of classic American porter malt complexity, and butter pecan/vanilla flavors. Not overly roasty or bitter. A very enjoyable offering, and spot on style example.

Bottle thanks to Alwcordell. This was NOT a gusher, but was most likely the most carbonated beer I have ever seen. Runaway secondary in the bottle I guess. I poured a few ounces in a glass and with a single swirl it was instantly all foam. The slowest most careful pour in the world resulted in a fireworks snake-like tube of tan foam erupting from the glass. In the end I salvaged perhaps 4 ounces of beer from a 12 ounce bottle, but even as I watch it now after 5 minutes of settling the head is still protruding further above the rim of the glass. A really cool science experiment, perhaps, but not the most enjoyable beer experience. I think I will let it sit for a while... 10 minutes later, still a solid head. Holy hell. Aroma is dusty, molasses, plastic phenols. Flavor is light plus sweet, fully bitter, roasty as shit, burned, but with lactose and chocolate milk backing, loads of coffee. Full body, really silky mouthfeel. This actually tastes and feels pretty good.

Aroma of roasted malt, butterscotch and hops. Medium body with flavors of caramel malt, earthy hops and slight diacetyl. The finish is sweet with a malty aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.

Medium-bodied with flavors of roast malt, spicy rye and bourbon. The finish is boozy with a malt and bourbon aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.
