Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a black color with a medium sized foamy brown head that left decent lacing. The aroma was sweetish and malty chocolate and black licorice. The flavor was bitter with strong floral and perfumey hops, wood, a bit of roasty malts and an off battery acid note. Long bitter hops, wood and black licorice finish. Moderately full bodied and creamy. Ok.

Bottle. Glass is pure foam with no liquid at the base and I’m left wondering if this is infected or what the story is. Aromas don’t smell funky but flavor is a bit of a letdown. Lots of licorice with heavy leather and a little toffee. The beer is a bit heavy handed and hot and has a bit of an off edginess to it.

I don’t know....either I am getting used to these impy stouts or.... this just seems a tad milder than I’m used to. Does not seem like 9+% 2 me. Mildly sizzly with just a tip of mild unexpected tartness in there. Infesting fer sure. Finish is nastily burnt but not as mouth punching as most impy stouts. Yes, almost acceptable. Perhaps I’m just really hungry for a beer. Maybe perhaps I should drink every impy stout right from the bottle. Overall, better than expected.

Draft. Ashy lactic chocolate malt aroma. Black with minimal head. Sweet ashy lactic chocolate malt flavor. Not bad - smooth for its ABV.

From a bottle, big dull olfactory impact of heavy blunt hops. Pour is much darker than predicted. Taste is large blasting tongue fisting bitter liquid. Same with finsh, quite annoying to my girlie taste buds. Should be IIPA.

Refrigerated bottle from FlandersNed poured into a weizen glass. Pours translucent deep orange with small white head which dissapates completely. No lacing, medium body, low carbonation, and light herbal hop aroma. Taste is banana, herbal hops, and a hint of clove.
