Cask-conditioned at the Crown & Kettle, Manchester 10/06/09. Reddish amber in colour with a decent, off-white head. Malty red fruit and milk chocolate aroma. Sweetish flavour, with more fruit and chocolate and a pleasantly bitter finish. Good stuff.

Cask-conditioned at the Bag ONails, Bristol 26/04/09. This came across as an ale designed to appeal to lager drinkers. It looked good, with a pale gold colour and decent frothy white head, but went downhill from there. What aroma there was was vaguely sweet with a trace of grassy hops. The flavour had some caramel, hay and an abrupt bitter finish. Instantly forgettable.

[Cask at Plough Inn, Wingfield, Bedfordshire] Amber-tan with a small white head. No carbonation, smooth mouthfeel. Some straw in the flavour, but little else - dominated by a very bitter finish. Too bitter for me I’m afraid (surprised others here have said it was sweet).

Cask, Dispensary, Liverpool. Amber with a thin off white head. Fruity, citrus hop aroma and flavour. Great abv masking which makes this very downable indeed.

Cask, Dispensary, Liverpool. Clear golden colour with a thin lingering white head and decent lacing. Citrus hops the main theme here. Bit soapy, and started to tire of this as the glass went down wishing I hadn’t ordered a pint. Just not very interesting
