Cask handpull at The Wenlock. Pale gold, lating off white head. Took ages to settle. A little lemony and soapy, but rather good. Very Ossett in nature. Alcohol is a little obvious maybe. Syrupy, but fine.

RBESG08 grand tasting. Yes, itโ€™s a bit gingery. Not a great stout. A bit warm by the time I got to it. Gingery/spicy and not great. 2.5/5 Re-rate Cask gravity at Pigs Ear 2008. Black colour with no real head. OK thickish stout. Its quite tasty, good Ossett beer, nice oilyness. Good depth of flavour, nice grain.

Cask at The Cross Keys, Pangbourne, leg 5 of the Thames Tipple (Goring to Wargrave) 14-06-08 Almost straw coloured beer with a thin white head of bubbles. Some sweet malts and hops on the nose, but also a little citruss gives you an indication of where this might head. The hops hit you straight away in the mouth quite citrussy, but then they subside, quite bitter at times but also juicy and fruity, ferociously dry at the end, I liked this (Loz loved it) but for me this could have been done just a little more subtley and it would have been a much beet beer.
