Description
WHERE THE MAGIC HAPPENS

We started trial brewing on a home brew kit back in early 2009 when the country was in the depths of the recession, which is partly how the name Brightside arose. That and the fact that we also like The Killers!

These days we’re an established name in Manchester, with a reputation for quality consistency and service. Our beers can be found in many of the free of tie pubs and bars in the city, out towards Crewe and Chester in the South, through the Wirral, and up to Preston in the North (in fact, across much of the UK by way of swapped casks with partner breweries and wholesalers).

Cask at Society Rooms, Macclesfield Pours a pale lemon yellow with a small white head and good lacing. Has an aroma of lemongrass mixed with some generic citrus. In the mouth it is a bit watery but quite sharp. Flavour is mainly lemon and floral hoops but with some apples and hints of grains. Finish is bitter with some citrus. Quite nice to accompany my curry.

Bottle from House of Beer, Ramsbottom. Deeper golden with a small head. There's lots of alcohol in both its aroma and taste, but coupled with the barrel ageing it's fairly tasty, with the barrel-ageing at its best in the brew's nose.
