One of our longest serving beers, Maverick IPA is American in style and multi-national in hop content (mostly US with a touch of NZ)! Lightly caramelized malts provide the central core, but the American Cascade is the main attraction bringing bold grapefruit and floral aromas to the beer, which finishes with a clean, refreshing bitterness.

Keg at Moon Under Water, Manchester. Clear gold with smooth white head. Floral and stone fruit aroma. Quite bitter with sweet flora, grass and some grapefruit. Not very exciting although it did grow on me.

Pours a clear golden colour with a small thin white head that quickly settled to a thin film. Aroma is predominately light malt with a touch of grapefruit. Moderately sweet and salty, light malt and grassy hop bitterness in the finish.

Handpull cask at the Harlequin, Kelham Island. Golden, slightly hay. Light layer of loose white head. Some citrus in the aroma but it’s surprisingly malty. Taste is less engaging: somewhat salty and soapy at first with. Short hoppy bitter finish. OK.
