About
WHERE THE MAGIC HAPPENS

We started trial brewing on a home brew kit back in early 2009 when the country was in the depths of the recession, which is partly how the name Brightside arose. That and the fact that we also like The Killers!

These days we’re an established name in Manchester, with a reputation for quality consistency and service. Our beers can be found in many of the free of tie pubs and bars in the city, out towards Crewe and Chester in the South, through the Wirral, and up to Preston in the North (in fact, across much of the UK by way of swapped casks with partner breweries and wholesalers).

330ml can. Gluten Free. Clear pale yellow-gold colour, white foam head leaving lacing and aroma of tropial fruit hop. Taste is malt caramel, grains with some tropical fruit, alittle pine, and citrusy bitterness. Thin mouthfeel, light bodied, soft carbonation, finish is dry light bitter with some biscuity notes. Quite OK.

An absolutely bang average, uninspiring golden beer. There's so little to comment on it's not worth the effort to try and describe. It's not even unpleasant, it's just there.

Cask @ Buffer Stops, Rawtenstall. Amber-gold with a head. It has mildly tangy fruits, but an overriding bitterness.

Cask @ Solita NQ, Manchester. Pours golden with a small head. Aroma of earthy notes, grass, hints of hay and citrus. Taste is earthy and slightly stuffy with some hints of grass, hay, grainy malts and crisp hops. Finish is crisp, bitter and slightly grassy with hints of citrus. Decent, quite easy going and a bit dull.

Cask @ Moon Under Water, Manchester. Golden-blonde with a small head. It's a very bitter pale ale, but with a low to mid bitterness. It has a malty nose and a sugary aftertaste.

Keg @ Brink, Manchester. Golden with a head. The lime is light but still dominant in the ale, which is very dry, and there's nothing too 'lager' about it.

cask, media pinta. Bastante bien equilibrada. Next one please!
