WHERE THE MAGIC HAPPENS

We started trial brewing on a home brew kit back in early 2009 when the country was in the depths of the recession, which is partly how the name Brightside arose. That and the fact that we also like The Killers!

These days we’re an established name in Manchester, with a reputation for quality consistency and service. Our beers can be found in many of the free of tie pubs and bars in the city, out towards Crewe and Chester in the South, through the Wirral, and up to Preston in the North (in fact, across much of the UK by way of swapped casks with partner breweries and wholesalers).

Cask @ Bramling Arms, Gosforth
Black, creamy tan head , good lacing
Aroma - roasted malts and dark chocolate malts
Taste - Smooth roast, dark malts, some smooth dark chocolate, malty, touch of coffee, soft bitter roast, slightly earthy bitter malt, smooth n easy
Palate - medium body, smooth creamy bit oily. Finish as main flavour, smooth creamy, lingering moderate bitter roast
Overall - Creamy stout, really nice

Cask at the 12th Egham Beer Festival - 17/08/12. Slightly hazy blonde with a white head. Hop aroma on the nose, slightly floral nature. Taste of pale malts, a little citrus and hops. Light to medium body.

cask at egham ... deep black ... bubbly tan head ... soft sweet chocolate ... very fruity nose ... dark charcoaly roast ... lovely ... deep chocolate and coffee ... dark malts .. wondeffull rich coffe roast ... superb ... what agreat start to the festival ...

Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol 4/1/2012. Near black in colour with a decent off-white head. Aroma of Black coffee, dark fruit and chocolate. Flavour had more fruit and chocolate, with a whiff of smoke and dryish finish. Good drinking.

Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol 4/1/2012. Clear amber in colour with a decent white head. Aroma of nutty malts, hedgerow fruit and a touch of leafy hop. Flavour of cereal malts and berry fruits, with a hint of citrus and good, bitter finish. Enjoyable.
