Description
Portobello was founded by Rob Jenkins & Farooq Khalid in September 2012. Rob is a beer industry veteran who’s worked across the industry in a career spanning 30+ years. Farooq is a brewing and engineering whizz who is just as comfortable designing & building new bits of brew kit as he is devising delicious recipes.

Cask at the Standing Order. Pours clear golden with a thin white head. Aromas of biscuit, honeycomb. Taste is light sweet, some herbal bitterness on the finish.

Cask handpull at The County Hotel Spoons Ashford. Clear dark amber colour lasting cream head. yes some sweetness some light caramel. ok red fruit on finish. decent

3rd May 2019; hand-pulled half-pint at the 46th Telford Drinks Festival at The Crown Inn, Oakengates. Dark body, tanned topping. Nice, easy drinking Porter with plenty of flavours to find; coffee, chocolate and caramel being the main three for me.

[Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell.] A pale chestnut pour with a loose cream head; malty aroma; soft malty body with soem caramel and a light fruity bitterness; then a biscuity finish.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Appearance - golden with a thin head. Nose - sweetcorn, green beans and light Saaz spice. Taste - green beans and tomato plant. Palate - light bodied, long and dry through middle and finish. Overall - good dry herbish pils.
