Description
Portobello was founded by Rob Jenkins & Farooq Khalid in September 2012. Rob is a beer industry veteran who’s worked across the industry in a career spanning 30+ years. Farooq is a brewing and engineering whizz who is just as comfortable designing & building new bits of brew kit as he is devising delicious recipes.

Cask at the Tremenheere, Penzance on 26th December 2025. Copper with shallow off-white foam and full lacing. Caramel malt throughout aroma, liquid pass and finish. Light body and a smooth mouthfeel.

Draft @ Bikeshed, London. Clear gold sporting a proper white head. Aroma of grains, herbs and spicy hops. Taste of grains, bread, herbal hops and a faint hint of lemons. Low to moderate bitterniss. Medium carbonation. Crisp, clean, proper.

Cask at the Metropolitan Bar (Wetherspoons), Baker Street, London. A very deep dark brown coloured pour with a medium beige head on top. Roasty, malty, chocolate, caramel action. Decent enough porter.
