330ml bottle from Post Office Vaults, Birmingham drunk on the train. Out of date by no less than 6 months so have no idea if mine had a different taste than usual. I’d guess so. Pale, light sweet pear, faint almost non-alcoholic flavour, watery sweetness. Drinkable and refreshing but not exactly pushing the boat out.

(Bottle) Clear amber, little short-lived white head. Lovely aroma full of tangy fruit - apricots, citrus - with pine and biscuity malt. Light body with bright carbonation. Nice bold flavour with hops featuring throughout from stone fruit at the start to a fairly decent bitter finish, all overlaid on a quite pleasantly sweet maltiness. A good, slightly different, take on an IPA.

[10/13] Bottle. Amber with a white head. Aroma of citrus, pine, biscuit, nectarines, lychees, spices. Sweet with stone fruit, grapefruit and spices creeping up quite quickly. Firm bitterness. Good, but won’t tear me away from their pale ale. Seeing all the "similar to Hop Hog" comments I opened one of them too. This is less bright and vibrant in aroma and lacks the wafting tropical notes of Hop Hog, but has a bit more guts in the malt side of things without being appreciably sweeter. Finish is drier and spicier. [3.5][12/17] New blue label - as ever with year-round beers, a label change is a good time for a revisit. I've had LCPA at least a hundred times since the lasts 4 pack of this. Quite sweet but it melds into the fruitiness. Seems cleaner than it used to be. Bitterness is lower than I'd like but it's clean enough and dry enough that it has finality. It's not a thriller but it's a fine beer.

Pours amber with a fading head.Nose shows tropical fruit, rich caramel and fruit confectionery.Very similar flavours, more of the fruit and confectionery along with some of the sweet malt. Finishes with an assertive but balanced bitterness.Carbonation seems a little high.

330ml bottle from Drinker’s Paradise, London. Has a promising fragrant elderflower aroma, continuing into the taste with a vague pot pourri to the citrus. Very nice.
