Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of malt, dusty hops, fruits, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, yeast, fruits, alcohol, and malt, leading to a dry alcoholic finish.

Bottle 56,8 cl. Courtesy of bluebetty. Pours a cloudy golden with a white head. Interesting perfumy aroma, somewhat spicy. Rich body, lively carbonation, a sweet fruitiness and then a dry hoppy touch. Quite an enjoyable hybrid. 270812

Pours copper with a small head.Nose shows caramel, raisins, cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg. Quite pleasant.Flavours are a little dissapointing, hardly any of the caramel transfers through whilst the spices create a little bit of a harsh note.Body seems watery, especially for these flavours.

This is a malt-driven pale ale with a combination of citrus and stone fruit notes on the nose, plus honey and a little caramel. There’s less floral boquet than in the more flamboyant pale ales. On the tongue there’s a really nice, solid malt flavour which gives way to slightly bitter grapefruit. The palate is very creamy and yet the result is still quite refreshing.

From a 568ml bottle on 5/8/2012. Pours a very dark golden (approaching amber) with a solid head. The aroma is spicy with cinnamon particularly prominent. The spiciness is even more pronounced in the flavour, with heaps of cinnamon and nutmeg, some ginger, and a touch of pepper at the end. There’s also some quite sweet citrus fruits and caramel malt in the mix, and just a little warming alcohol as well. A very enjoyable spicy sipper.

Bottle, thanks to Aaron. Pours a buttery yellow gold with a small white head and ok lacing. Aroma is pine, a bit of citrus, and a faint basement smell. Taste is dry, not sweet at all, pine and a bit of malt with a medium bitter finish.

Bottle, 12C. Dark reddish amber with a cream head. Spicy aroma with some toffee. Lots of cinnamon and mace, some ginger. Sweet with dark caramel and some raisins before a bitter and dry finish with lots of spices. Spices are far too prominent for me - at first I thought it needed some yeast notes or more sweetness, but then was more sweetness as it warmed and the spices were harsh enough that I didn’t feel invited in. Just not my sort of thing.
