Super hazy golden coloured body that is straw coloured, about 95 per cent opaque, all with a nice and fairly large three centimetre tall off-white creamy head that stays afloat nicely. Aroma of oranges, crisp grapefruit, some noticeable pepper and dryness with a good hit of alcohol and sugars here as well and seemingly a good balance of malt, too, at least in the nose. Medium to Full-bodied; Very rich and pungent oaty malts hit at first with a great potent quality that lay out a great backbone for the very strong citrusey and juicy hops that hit hard, but are properly balanced and end with some alpha acid bitterness, which is nice and not too strong, as well as a strong alcohol bite (just warming) and a great level of sweetness from honey, oranges and lactose. Aftertaste is very nice as well, with a great balance throughout with a pleasant hop bitterness, full of alpha acids, juice, strong malts and a noticeable kick of alcohol - but great throughout! Overall, a very nice IPA showing quite a bit of Imperial Status (malts, hops and sugars) but much better than I was expecting (from a brewery I've never heard of in ConnectICut!) but great to have fresh and I'll be looking for more beers from this brewery, next time! Get it if you can find it and if you like the style! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Glen Ro Spirit Shoppe in Monroe, Connecticut on 05-September-2022 for US$3,49, canned on 28-April-2022 and sampled at my house here in Washington on 12-September-2022.

16 oz. can traded by tfontana. Thanks Tom. Born on 01/07/21. Aroma a straw, white grape, herb. The flavor has the aforementioned notes with a slightly tart character in the finish. Low bitterness with a crisp light body. Decent.

Can (1/7/21) pour. It's a cloudy dark yellow-light brown with nice sparkle at the edges of the glass, a few floaties, 2-finger width white foamy head with good retention and light soapy lacing. Aroma is nice Nelson grape, melon, light citrus with mild tart fruit over bread backbone. Taste is grape soda and milder tart fruit. Mouthfeel is medium side of light-to-medium bodied with smooth, frothy texture, average-to-lively carbonation and crisp, dry finish with lingering yeast and light bitterness. Overall, some nice features of Nelson but the tart quality detracts a bit for me and a little light, frothy and over carbonated. OK but not great.
