Tap at the Boilermaker House, Melbourne. Poured a clear medium reddish brown with a thin broken white head. The aroma is sweet nutty malt, light woody hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a light dry, crisp, woody, light resin, metallic hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with average carbonation. Sadly lacks body and defining flavours but it’s far from being a bad beer.

(Bottle) Pours cloudy amber with no head. Lovely fresh tropical fruity aroma. Light body, good carbonation. Foretaste is, like aroma, full of fresh tropical fruit. Biscuity malt emerges and is followed by a pleasant hoppy bitterness. All very balanced, refreshing, interesting - a very good beer.

330ml bottle into shaker. Cloudy golden orange beer with thin creamy head, lightly carbonated with tiny bubbles. Laces well. Smells of fruit and bread but pretty subdued. Lovely smooth beer with glorious guava, pineapple and malts with a little hop bitterness right at the end to finish. Excellent beer, tasty and moreish.

[9/16] Growler. Clear amber with a cream head. A: Ripe but not over-ripe tropical fruit, strawberries, some acid pineapple and pepper. Light bread. Avoids smelling like fruit salad. A fair bit of body for 6.2%. Quite sweet with a (not particularly welcome) bit of caramel as well as tropical fruit, resin. Long finish with moderate bitterness, some astringency. A little too sweet for me but nice use of Australian hops and a refined finish. [3.8][9/16] Bottle. Yes, good stuff.[5/17] Bottle from a random Dan’s. OK but considerably less vibrant. Leaving score as is, but this one is about 3.5.
