Taster draft pour at Rising Pint. Opaque black, thin cap of head, light lacing. Aroma is strong bourbon, sweet malt, dark fruit/cherry. Taste is super strong bourbon (on the harsh side), hint of dark fruit and base stout. Smooth texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Who knows what cookie is in here. This is just a bourbon blast that needs to be aged 6 to 12 more months. If you buy it, stay away for that long. Bourbon is just too overwhelming in the taste.

Brewery draught, 4/30/25.
Very nice head and retention for a BA stout.
Similar to Darth malt, I'm getting apple and big toasted oak. Light cookie dough. No booze.
Yeah it's frickin apple-y or maybe that's just raw wood. I don't know. It's certainly not what I'm looking for in a BA stout. And the ridiculously light body doesn't help either. Wtf?!

Nitro at the brewery, 4/30/25.
Dark. Not much head for nitro. Tan, though.
Smells like it could be an oatmeal Stout. Who knows, though, there is literally zero information posted by the brewery about any of their beers on social media or their website. Cool.....
Well, this one is like twice as rich and thick as their 8.9% BA Darth Malt. Rich and syrupy almost with big dark chocolate, cacao nibs and a soft texture with a good but not overdone acidity. Kind of reminds of a much more robust Young's Dbl Chocolate. Though eith more authentic chocolate character. Lingering nuttiness, cacao-like character and malt with proper attenuation.

Brewery draught, 4/30/25.
Good haziness. Sunny orange-maize. Well-retained, white head.
Very floral with perfume and very light notes of fruit salad from the Motueka. Guess it's mostly AQ. Clean with white bread and biscuit. Not all that aromatic.
Lightly juicy, spicy, floral with some zingy citrus but no mineral and scant white wine. Bitter finish, lighter bodied and low on flavor, drinking way below its abv, but like the stout, clean and harmless.

Brewery draught, 4/30/25.
Clear, dark. Lots of burnt tan head.
I'm getting an apple-y character that I can't place. Maybe it's apple brandy but somehow I doubt that. Clean with rich milk chocolate and no alcohol. Certainly not classic bourbon notes. Possibly just heavily toasted oak.
More of the apple flavor. Not very much body. I guess it's just big oak but not much spice. Maybe something rye-like. It's all mostly irrelevant because this is laughably thin. Drinks like 5%. But it's not messy or boozey.

Just a heads up…. That wasn’t beer cheese. It’s mustard. Evil evil mustard.
