Can. Startlingly clear gold with a 3/2 inch white head that lasts pretty well. Floral & peppery aroma with bread with half the crusts cut off. Dryish but rounded bready malt. Very clean. Properly snappy finish that's bitter with floral and peppery notes tingling. Oh yes.

Can. Amber tinged gold with a huge white head. Very shy aroma with honeyed biscuit, vague citrus and some herbal notes. So it tastes. Not rich but moderately sweet with a quite sharply bitter herb and spice finish. Inharmonious.

Can. Bucket of sand appearance including small white foam. I've always thought of Sauv Blanc as more gooseberry & grass clippings than passionfruit and so it is here. Some edgy pineapple too. Barely sweet with pungent fruity hops. It's just slightly stringent but doesn't really burn. Not totally my sort of thing but very well done.

Growler. Sand with a white head that fades to a cm. Mellow fruity aroma with orange, Asian pineapple, coconut. But punchier taste with the aforementioned plus a little sharper citrus and some light spices. Backed by light bread that just feels slightly chalky. Bitterness is not that low, but that suits me fine. Harmonious but not all that distinctive.

330ml bottle from Slow Beer, Fitzroy, Melbourne. Poured a murky medium brown colour, with a short-lived bubbly off-white head. The aroma is toffee caramel, some red berry fruits and boozy alcohol. The flavour is strong sweet, with a rich, smooth, oily, treacle toffee, oaky, warm alcohol bitter palate. Medium to full bodied with flat carbonation. For 13% the alcohol was very well hidden.

Pours black as the night, dark tan head.Nose shows bourbon, coconut, vanilla, caramel, heavy roast.Flavours include more of the heavy roast and bourbon. Some soft liquorice and a fair whack of booze too. A little burnt tasting though.
