From a 375ml can on 4/4/2019. Pours a clear pinky red with a small head.Has a fairly strong raspberry aroma. Tastes primarily of raspberry, with a touch of lemon and sea salt. It's quite sweet up front, but it's balanced out pretty well by the tartness at the back. Light bodied with slightly prickly carbonation. Not remotely IPA like in any way, but reasonably refreshing.

Pint on tap at Local Taphouse, Sydney. Amber beer with a foamy white head. Light carbonation. Malt forward nose, not what I expect from a pilsner. Full-bodied, good lacing. Very easy to drink with some grainy bitterness balanced by a slightly sweeter finish. Superior Pils, balanced and drinkable.

Can. Amber with a pale beige head. Aroma of toffee apple, bread, grass. Oily. Layers of caramel and bread crust, some apple, quite firm bitterness. Alcohol sticks out a bit. This is the second of a 4 pack bought last winter from Carlisle St Bottle House. I tasted the first and nearly dumped the lot - it was maybe a 1.5. Just horrible apple mush. Decided not to rate. This time it's fine but not ready. If rerates are unFUBARed it'll be interesting to see how it goes in 2-3 years. It has the structure.

Slightly hazy golden color. Big dank mango and tropical fruit nose, sweeter than expected, but lovely nonetheless. Piercing bitterness rips across the tongue and drier than expected palate with excellent tropical fruit notes. Agressive dry bitterness with the mango notes lasting

From a 330ml bottle on 14/10/2018 (shared by Butz, with thanks). Pours a fairly clear golden with a small head. Has quite a strong spicy, yeasty aroma with some fruitiness and brett.Take a sip and there's a fair bit of sweet fruit, including citrus and berries, with a bit more spice, yeast and brett. It's slightly tart and bitter, which provides nice balance to the fruit Slightly syrupy texture and moderate carbonation. Quite complex yet easy to drink for close to 11%. For someone who's not really into farmhouse ales or barrel aged beers, I found this surprisingly enjoyable. Very well done Hawkers.

From a 375ml can on 1/10/2018. Pours a slightly hazy light amber with a small head. Has a quite distinct aroma featuring caramel, toffee and freshly cut red apples. Flavour wise, it begins intensely sweet - again caramel, toffee, and yes, red apples, along with lots of brown sugar, dates, and treacle. But the sweetness is met by just enough bitterness to balance it all out. The texture is sticky and syrupy, the carbonation softish. A pretty straight forward but very enjoyable dessert-like sipper.
