Can. Hazy orange with a cm of white head that's soon a bare coat. Aroma of pineapple, oranges, crackers, herbs. So it tastes - sweet and juicy with herbal bitterness and some signs of booze at the end. Just strains a bit with the strength.

There's an aroma of milk chocolate and teddy bear biscuit, plus a strong rye note. Has a delightful mouthfeel with some strong pine needles and citrus to balance out the malty flavours. A delightful sipper that went down a little too fast and had me reeling.

Smells a little like a block of Cadbury hazelnut milk chocolate, with some slightly burnt toast as well. Palate is slightly thinner than I'd like, but the flavour is nice - toast, nuts and chocolate, with some light citrusy bitterness as well.

From a 440ml can on 1/11/2025 (from Ed with thanks, shared with Ed and Butz).Pours near black with a biggish medium tan head. The nose features dark chocolate, coffee and some light roasty, against a fairly strong bourbon background. Taste wise, it's more bitter/sweet dark chocolate, with lots of berry notes (particularly raspberry), some plum and dried fruits, with a qite strong, boozy bitterness that lingers. The palate is syrupy the carbonation average. A complex and satisfying fireside sipper.

Aromas of orange, biscuit, caramel and grass are very promising, but the taste is overwhelmed by a harsh bitterness that masks pretty much every other flavour. I'm not scared of bitterness, so it's not horrible but it feels like they just cocked this one up a bit (which they kind of acknowledge on the label, referring to a "marching bitterness").

From a 440ml can on 14/10/2025. Pours a very deep brown with a medium tan head. The nose features dark chocolate, some fridge notes, and a good whiff of piney hops. Tastes of dark chocolate, coffee, caramel, dried fruit and a hint of Vegemite, leading into a firmish pine/resin bitterness, with a touch of roastiness in the mix. Fullish body with average carbonation. Doesn't present as big as 8.5%. Really nicely balanced and very enjoyable.
