500ml bottle from somewhere in Melbourne and shared in Kuala Lumpur. Poured a mostly clear medium amber colour, with a round frothy white head. The aroma is light toffee, boozy alcohol. The flavour is moderate sweet, with a smooth, somewhat rich, slightly oily, toffee, light herbal, earthy, warm, boozy alcohol bitter palate. Over medium bodied with soft carbonation. Not sure this has aged particularly well over the last 5 years but I did enjoy it all the same.

Can. Murky orangish brown with a very brief small head. Aroma of apricot, orange, some menthol. Silky, lowish carbonation. Sweet with stone fruit, some sweet citrus, some resin, moderate bitterness with some pepper at the end. First dud of the series.

Can. Murky brownish orange with a fat coat of white head. Aroma of grilled peach, oranges, tropical fruit cup, crackers. Very sweet, a bit chalky. Lots of fruit - mainly peach and apricot, some tropical. Not enough citrus to sharpen things. Low bitterness, no astringency. Kind of flabby but OK. 9% ABV seems a lot for what it offers.

From a 440ml can on 19/10/2024. Pours a murky deep golden with a small head. Has a modest stone fruit and citrus nose. Tastes of peach, apricot and orange. Fairly sweet and a touch boozy, finishes with a moderate bitterness with some citrus rind, lemon and spice. Has silky mouthfeel and softish to moderate carbonation. A straight forward and very solid huge hazy,

From a 440ml can on 9/10/2024. Pours a dirty hazy golden with a small head. The nose is primarily dank overripe citrus and stone fruit. Tastes of ripe apricot and orange with some rind zestiness, leading to a moderately bitter, lightly spicy bitterness. Has a slightly creamy, slick palate with moderate carbonation. Nice stuff.

Can. Black, lasting inch of tan head. Aroma of mocha, nuts, oranges, some pine. A little more than medium bodied. Moderate sweetness hauled in by insistent bitterness. Quite fruity - oranges, nectarines- but mocha and some roast are just to the fore. Nice earthy/ spicy/ nutty feel fattens things. Very nice.

Can. Gold with a frothy white head. Aroma of light breadcrust, grain, floral and peppery hops. Pretty light in body and malt but the hops and bitterness are punchy but don't overwhelm. There's a slight waft of tropical about them too - a not quite noble hop thing that I like.

From a 440ml can on 25/9/2024. Pours a deepest brown with a small to medium tan head. The aroma is dark chocolate, dark fruit and a hint of coffee. Tastes of dark chocolate, licorice, rye and soy, with a moderately sharp roasty bitterness at the back. Has a slick palate and moderate carbonation. A typically excellent big dark beer from this mob.

From a 440ml can on 24/9/2024. Pours a hazy deep golden with not much of a head. Has a punchy citrus and ripe stone fruit nose. Orange and apricot dominate on the sip, with a bit of Nelson white grape presenting, but with a light caramel malt background. Stylistically quite difference from a typical big hazy, evidenced by the darker shade and a bitterness that hints of WC character. Silky mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. Really enjoyed this one.

Can. Clear amber, an off white head fades to a cm. Aroma is spicy with slightly sticky breeadcrust. Doesn't seem as rich as last year's Märzen but the peppery hops and pointed but not too prominent bitterness work nicely.
