Dark red. Thin head. This has a big chewy aroma but the orangey, piney hop notes come through clearly. It's fairly bitter, with a bright crystal malt, orangey notes, and a clean pine. This is solid, well-balanced, and retains bright character rather than chewy.

440mL can, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma is loaded with intense resinous hops, chewy caramel malt, bready notes, and a touch of pine. Flavour is wonderfully balanced, with lots of resinous hops, dry caramel and bready malt, a touch of fermented out brown sugar, and bitter pine on the finish. Balanced impeccably well and immensely drinkable for the ABV. Excellent.

Poured from 440mL can (bb 28/03/2026). Clear chestnut brown with small off white head. Nice piney hops, toffee and crystal malts, nicely balanced.

Can. Very dark brown with a good cm of light tan head. Aroma of choc-malt, light roast, spices. Smooth textured and just medium bodied. A little brioche sweetness, then firmer than guessed roast and a nice ping of bitterness, citrus peel and pepper. Enough going on and very drinkable.

Can. Black with a good cm of light tan head. Roasty aroma with coffee and citrus- orange and lemon. So it tastes. A fair bit of body and nicely smooth. Maybe there’s a little more citrus than totally fits but not by much.

Boozy chocolate and not too sweet.

Can. Black, a 2cm light tan head. Aroma of kumquat, mocha, nectarine, light bread. I say - are there hints of boreal forest needles? Mayhap a soupçon. Medium bodied, medium low carbonation. Bread and mocha, little sweetness. Citrus then stone fruit and pine before an easing into pretty strong bitterness. Very nice. Dangerously drinkable.

Pitch black color. Sweet dark chocolate with some dark chocolate and roasted malt character sticky molasses. Low carbonation and bitterness. It’s nice but at no point is it amazing from palate to depth it’s good. How is this is 4.4 is beyond me
