Bottle from HOTM. Brown with an off-white head and a frothy fizz. Plenty of chocolate up front, a light woody note and a touch of dry red wine in the aftertaste. The chocolate is maybe a little syrupy and the finish is rather short, but it's not bad. Hoped for more though.

14/11/2024. Panda shared by Colin, cheers. Pours clear very pale gold with a few bubbles. Aroma is musty, pear, hedgerow, damp jaycloth, pear drop. Very sweet with a tangy tart edge. Moderate body, average carbonation. Sweet and a little artificial.

Panda courtesy of Theydon_Bois, cheers Colin! Clear pale gold colour, white foam head that dissipates away aroma of pear, apple, sulphur. Taste is sweet, sugary, peary & slightly appley, mellow, with syrup & floral herby honey-like notes. Medium bodied, foamy carbonation, sweet finish. OK, abit sweet.

Big panda, thanks to the Wingmane, 08/09/24. Pale translucent yellow, carbonation, fast escaping white head. Nose is modest pear, straw, herb, light hedgerow notes. Taste comprises bitter sweet pear, sugar dusting, light orchard wood, herb. Medium bodied, spritzy carbonation, semi drying close. Not likely to win any awards but far from unpleasant.

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up from HOTM. ABV noted at 4.8%. Pours clear, light red-brown with a tame, foamy khaki head. Light sweet flavour with soft roast, brown bread, a little vaguely artificial cocoa note. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Fairly clean to finish, more of the same. Drinks fine.

Clear dark ruby beer, off-white head. Smells of malty chocolate. Flavour has a good hit of milk chocolate, a little malty bitterness, a dash of caramel. Some darker chocolate comes through in the finish.Decent body, this is super drinkable.

Bottle from Longacres, Bagshot. Aroma has rich yet sweet chocolate and a malty streak. Dark opaque. Cola tint. Creamy beige head soon recedes. Sweet (not overly so) chocolate throughout with a touch of cacao bitterness. Although this element is relatively restrained - the sour* edge is more prominent, at least until we hit the home stretch. Molasses into the finish. Medium bodied. Creamy. Average carbonation. Long surprisingly low key finish. Decent. Avoids being too sweet. *Initially went with 'berry edge' but now that I've read the description I guess the sourness does have a vinous quality.
