Description
Oakshire is a is a community inspired small batch brewing company privately owned by the family and friends of our company’s founders. Oakshire operates a small, 4,000 square-foot production brewery in Northwest Eugene, as well as the Oakshire Public House in Eugene’s Whiteaker neighborhood and the Oakshire Beer Hall in the Concordia/Cully neighborhood in Northeast Portland.

Eugene was chosen as Oakshire’s location in part due to the accessibility of clean, soft water from the McKenzie River. Since 2013, Oakshire Brewing has partnered with our local land conservation group, the McKenzie River Trust. One percent of Watershed IPA sales revenue is set aside for the protection of local watersheds in the territories where the beer is sold, helping to preserve the clean water that is so vital to our community and our beer.

12 oz can poured, gifted by Matt. Thanks! A nice IPA here that seems to border many of it's sub-styles. Bright golden orange pour with plenty of haze. Loose foam bubble head. Juicy mixed citrus, and quite delicious. Smooth mostly, but has just a tiny bit of grapefruit like bitter bite. The lime and grapefruit advertised presence is very much there. Cool, juicy finish. A little different than most IPA's. Very nice.

12 oz can poured. Seems like a fun series. Thought about opening the blueberry side by side with this one, but I'll save the other for another time. Soft haze to this slight pale golden pour. Tart mixed berry, wheat nose. Flavor is a nice tart, juicy red berry over a sturdy wheat base, all as expected. Sour berry isn't too sharp. Pretty smooth overall. Tasty.

12 oz can. Aroma is citrus with a lot of rind character. Moderately bitter. Old school IPA with hints of citrus.

On tap at The Beer Junction, pours jet black with a small tan head. Aroma smells like an imperial stout, with heaps of coffee upfront, followed by spicy peppers, and a hint of vanilla and cinnamon. Flavour is sure intense, with loads of cinnamon, spicy peppers, coffee and oak. Wow - there's so much going on here. The alcohol is very apparent, with a thick palate. Unreal depth to this. Lovely.
