Cask @ WM Hawkes, Hull. Clear golden with a small head. It's very much a cask ale before a lager, with the latter very light in terms of its character.

Cask ale at Lion and Key. Creamy fawn-coloured head. Spotty lacing. Jet black body. Roasted mid-sweet malty nose. Creamy chocolate taste with hints of oatmeal. Slightly roasted ending with dark fruity hints. Fine bodied. A tasty and well-made local brew (shared with Finn, Hull 25.11.2015).
