Monday 8th April 2024, Skipton Pub Crawl with Ant, Maureen, Margie, Auntie Sue and me, plus Tilly and Bertie (the dogs). Hand-pulled half-pint in The Ref & Whistle Micropub. White crust on a clean golden body. Floral aroma with a slight citrus undertone, taste follows the same lines, a little weak and watery but pleasant enough.

Cask at Picture House, Stafford. Pours “bitter brown” with a small almost white head. Malts to the fore in the aroma, along with hints of sultanas. In the mouth it is sweet and creamy, but with a slight lingering bitterness. Flavour has malts, dried fruit, oranges and mango. After a while some traditional hops come through leading to a hoppy finish. This is eminently reasonable.
