Cask-conditioned at the Staple Hill Oak (JDW), Bristol 16/11/2011. Bronze coloured with a slight white head. Cereal malts, a hint of hedgerow hops and decent bitter finish. Fine.

Cask-conditioned at the Annexe, Bristol 22/10/2011. Golden coloured with a frothy, off-white head. Sweet, sherbet and stone fruit aroma. Flavour had sweet, slightly bready malts, yeasty fruits and a moderately bitter finish. not really my kind of beer.

Cask @ Crystal Palace, JDW. Clear orange colour, thin off-white head. Nose is light hoppy, citric, bit of caramel. Flavour is light caramel, bit of citrus. Medium bodied. Slightly sweet and dry finish.

Cask @ Muckle Cross, Elgin.
Amber brown, clear, frothy white head, good lacing.
Aroma - hint of caramel malt and some faint grassy hops.
Taste of caramel malt, fruity, bitter grassy hop, bit spicy.
Palate - soft carb, finish of moderate bitter hop and light citrus tang that slowly fades.
Not a bad bitter. Just OK.

Cask gravity at Wye Hops festival 2011. Pale gold thin white head. Actually a hoppy lager. Wouldnt have picked this as a cask lager I guess. Decent lemony citrus edge to the finish. Its a decent cask lager. Mind you doubt I would have it again.

From cask. Pours clear and golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma is mild fruity and light citrusy. Fruity, sweet and light citric. Bitter and fruity, slight sweet finish.

Cask. Hazy deep golden colour, small white head. Aroma is fruity, nectary, malty and a bit bready as well. Flavour is bredy and sweet malts along with fruits, nectary and mild honeyish notes.

Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol 1/05/2011. Deep gold with a slight white head. Biscuity malt aroma with a touch of fruity sweetness. Flavour was dominated by show chewy malts, with a trace of caramel and decent bitter finish. Looking at the old ratings for the Goldfinch version of this beer, it seems similar. Good.

Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol 29/04/2011. Amber in colour with a slight white head. Not very nice, vanilla butter fudge and apricot aroma. Flavour turned out a lot better, with some more butter and fruit upfront, before a slightly spicy edge and decent, bitter finish. An ok royal wedding special.

bottle from South Devon. Clear pale golden colour, large white head. Malty, slightly hoppy, very fruity. Not really a Pils as the label states, but stilla a very nice beer.
