Bottle from Brewer’s Droop, Bristol. Pale gold with a slight white head. Sweet malty aroma with a hint of grapefruit. Easy drinking with doughy malts, some leafy hops and a soft finish. A bit bland.

Cask gravity at The Hop Pole, Easter Beer Festival, Aylesbury, Bucks in the company of Loz, Chris O and Ruth 10-04-09 Pours clear light amber with next to no head and just a light film of white bubbles on top. This is easy drinking if a little sweet at times, some thin toffee flavours with a tingly bitterness. A6 A3 F6 P3 OV11 2.9

Cask (gravity) @ National Winter Ales Festival 2009, Manchester, England.Clear medium to dark amber color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, fruity - berry sweet. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is flat to soft. [20090122]

Bottle from Brewer’s Droop, Bristol. Bronze coloured with a decent, but short-lived, off-white head. Aroma of toffee, burnt malts and a touch of banana. Full mouth feel with alcohol fairly prominent. Flavour of weetabix, molasses and a touch of spice, with a short, bitter finish and a chocolate coating left behind in the mouth. Unusual and drinkable.

cask at Bow bar edinburgh ... Amber ... nice white foam head ... sweet toffee and sweet sprit nose ... fruity malts ligth toffeee and somthing reminicent from the sweet spirit nose ... low carbonation and very nice.

bottle, from Darts Farm. Hazy deep golden yellow, small beige head. Hoppy nose. Medium- to full-bodied, intensively malty with some very spicy hoppy flavours. Well-balanced Premium Bitter.

bottle from Darts Farm. Clear dark amber-brown colour, small beige head. Aroma of fruit and malt. Full-bodied with an intensive wheaty character. Malty-sweet with some spicy hops, yeast and wheat flavours. Strongly reminds me of a good German Weizenbock. A very nice English wheat ale.

500ml bottle from Centra Colosseum in Oslo. Shared with Finn. The foamy head is white as chalk and lasts for a while. Cloudy, orange-amber body. Smell of biscuit malts. Slightly roasted grain in flavour with caramel hints coming through. Dry bitter endnotes. Medium bodied. Nothing to get too excited about (Tromsø, 18.02.2009).

Bottle. A real gusher, but when it settles with a hazy, orange-golden body and a small, white head. Biscuity, malty aroma with hoppy fruityness and pinecone notes. Biscuity malts in the mouth too, with some hops giving a nice bitterness, especially in the finish. Medium body, quite dry. Easy to drink and quite decent, but there’s some strange bitterness in it that I’m not too fond of. (081202)
