16oz can. Super straightforward Golden Ale. Medium bodied, easy drinking, but not super thin. bready malts, faint hop balance. Not a lot going on but fully suitable for the style. OK.

Draught @ the brewpub, Chicago (MAy 2024). Hazy dark yellow/orange with a foamy light beige head, citrus-pineapple aroma, adequate carbonation, medium bitter mandarin-mango taste, thin body, long medium bitter finish. Decent NEIPA.

Tap at Horse Thief. A lot of big flavors, held together by the steady barrel tone. Cinnamon is thankfully mild and well incorporated. Good stuff

16oz can. I normally like Horse Thief Hollow beer, but this one is a definite miss in my book. The puree flavors don't really work that well together and aren't that appealing in the first place. Drop a beer with raw fruit in it, I'm on board, or take it deep into smoothie candyland..bt this just isn't good. The flavor here is just weak and not appealing.

16 oz can. Chewy, big American IPA. Not as dry as a true West Coast example but a huge, flavorful beer...the kind that changed the beer world 30 years ago. Really well brewed. Clean, doughy malts. Steady hop tone throughout. Good stuff.

16oz can. Um..Chillen'? Reminiscent of those odd few weeks when grapefruit Sculpin was desirable. Booming grapefruit flavor. Quite drinkable, with a respectable malt backdrop, doesn't taste like seltzer of juice. Pretty good for what it is.
