Sampled on draft at Levity this beer poured a bright yellow-gold color with a large foamy yellow-white head that left outstanding lacing. The aroma was dry, grassy and a bit earthy. The flavor was dry with notes of grass, hay and cracker. Medium length finish. Medium body. Blah.

Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured an almost black color with a medium sized creamy brown head that left decent lacing. The aroma was very strong vanilla extract and nothing else. Pleasant but one dimensional. The flavor was very strong vanilla extract followed by a musty note and a presence reminiscent of mildew. Long finish. Medium bodied and creamy. Meh.

Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a black color with a small foamy beige head that left minimal lacing. The aroma was dryish with coffee, vanilla and floral hops. The flavor was bitter, dry and roasty with floral hops, a bit of charcoal and brewed coffee. Long roasty, charcoal and floral hop finish. Moderately full bodied. Alcohol well controlled. Disappointing.

Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a very dark brown color with a small tan head that left good lacing. The aroma was dryish with cocoa, coffee, wood and a bit of earthiness. The flavor was earthy, woody and somewhat dry with brewed coffee and roasty malts. Long finish. Medium body. Decent.

The flavor was dryish and a bit fruity with notes of dish soap and cardboard. Medium length finish. Medium body. Pretty bad.
