I barely remember this one but it was canned from DBW, fluffy and juicy I think.

Taster at OBL. Hazy yellow pour, head disappears, but some streaky lacing. Fruity aroma, hoppy, almost a spicy aspect. Taste is hoppy, tropical fruit with a light but noticable bitterness. Very enjoyable.

Taster tray at brewery. Amber pour, little to no head. Fruity, yeasty aroma, clove, fig. Taste is more fruity than yeasty, plums, raisins dates. On the edge of the style

Dark clear, but crazy coloured purple and even grey coloured body with a large, but fast-dying tan head, on top of the crazy clear, beautiful-ish purple and indigo glow. Aroma of light grassy and herbal hop notes, a little bit of sugar, some biscuity malts and clean, crisp lager yeast scent. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong crisp citrusey, grassy and herbal flavours show up at first with some nice actual floral flavours with jasmine and lavender noticeable as well, with a pretty soft maltiness that brings out th elight hops and smooth sugars - a subdued but noticeable complexity. Aftertaste shows a good balance throughout, with more of the grassy and especially herbal notes the strongest, but some sugars, malt, light hops and lager yeasts are all still noticeable. Overall, a nice complex and funky beer that still tastes great and while crazy looking, especially on the pour, the lagerness is slightly hidden and more complexity emerges - very nice to have this one local and fresh! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Trader Joe's in Arlington (Clarendon), Virginia on 23-August-2021 for US$3,75, canned on 23-June-2021 and sampled at my house here in Washington on 16-September-2021.

Fairly hazy and deep copper and bronze coloured body with the slightest bit of a pink hue coming through on the sides of the glass with a fairly fast-dying tan and off-white head that barely leaves a lace, after a few seconds. Aroma of honey, alcohol, malts, yeast, wheat, flowers, coriander seed, curacao and a good deal of bread, with a faint dose of fruits, but these taste much closer to stone fruits (ala apricots and peaches) than any pomegranate. Medium to Full-bodied; Very strong malt backbone shows through with a dense, very pungent bready and yeastie bite with some floral aspects, but more of the dry and perfumey qualities punch through a few seconds later that leads to a more sweet, still robust, but pungent beer without any fruits noticeable at all - some spices for sure, but no fruits. Aftertaste shows some of the coriander seed, curacao and big honey sweetness with a lot of yeast, bread and alcohol still here as well with nowhere to hide with a thick complexity and depth throughout. Overall, a pretty nice tripel with a big character from the yeast, wheat, coriander seed and curacao with a slight dose of fruits and perfumey qualities, but the alcohol, sugars and malt especially loom large here. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Trader Joe's in Springfield, Virginia on 25-June-2021 for US$3,75 sampled at my house here in Washington as Beer #14 of my 2021 Advent Calender (yes, I'm two days behind) on 16-December-2021.
