Description
Hannah and I launched Stray in 2022 after 10 years experience in cider and wine production, inspired by the diverse bounty of the Pacific Northwest and the people who cultivate it.
Our approach to fermentation is a balance between modern technique and allowing nature to influence us and the cider. We’re on a journey to co-ferment locally grown apples, grapes and other fruits to craft unique, delicate and relentlessly dry ciders that become little stories of a place and time.

On tap at Baum's on Oak (Portland). Pours clear pale yellow. Aroma has a peppery dry white wine character. Flavour has lots of white wine grapes; dry a bit fruity. Great dry cider.

On tap at Bauman's, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma is loaded with black pepper, musty white grape skins, and a touch of crisp apple skins. Flavour is dominated by black pepper—that's the grape skins influence—with some white grape must, and a bone dry, peppery finish. Nice black peppery and musty grape finish. Good stuff.
