0,5 l bottle purchased at the brewery. Jet black in the glass, nearly two finger foamy dark beige head. You can´t expect more. A lot of choco und dark ripe fruity on the nose. Taste starts with strong roasted malt, dark milk choco, coffee and some fruity sequences in the background. Hoppy. Slick palate. Nearly zero carbonation. Long roasty aftertaste. Nice one!

0,5 l bottle purchased at the brew pub a few weeks ago. Simple but good looking bottle label as always. A darkest copper to brown in the glass, one finger light pale beige head. Malty, fruity with sugar sweetness on the nose. Taste starts malty roasty, little bit fruity and sweetness. Increasing hop bitterness. Dry. Roasty aftertaste with some bitter hop. Very low carbonated. Not bad.

0,5 l bottle from the brewery. Dark golden in the glas, slightly cloudy with a more than one finger foamy white head. Looks good. Low malty smell. Taste starts grainy, dry bitterness, malt in the second row. Getting alcoholic and little bit metallic in the second part with toasted grainy background. Hints of pine. Not bad for a Heller Bock.

0,5 l bottle purchased at the source. Simple black and white label, as usual. Nearly black in the glass, only red edges, steady big two finger pale beige head. Strong choco and coffee on the nose, malty background. Taste is surprisingly smooth but strong roasty, malt, choco, coffee, fruity background. Some bitter hop. Thick texture. Creamy. Very low carbonated. More coffee than malt to the end. More stout than Schwarzbier. Very interesting stuff.

Bottle. Pours cloudy very dark brown with stable tan head. Clear aroma of malt and dried fruit, with notes of yeast and touches of coffee. Bitter, roasty and coffeelike flavour with sweetish notes of malt and yeast and hints of fruit. Dry finish with roasty notes. Reasonable.

Bottle, 6.2%. Fruity, dusty and herbal aroma. Black colour, seems cloudy or muddy. Unstable, fizzy dark brown colour. The flavour starts off fruity, and later comes a roasted note with some soy sauce. Late salt liquorice finish. Mild coffee aftertaste.
