Bottle, 6.2%. Aroma of sweet liquorice, fruit, jam, paper. Black colour, seems unclear. Small stable dark brown head. The flavour is roasted and fruity. Has some liquorice. Like a Black IPA or a hoppy porter.

Bottle. Pours hazy very dark brown with airy tan head. Clear aroma of malt and roast, with notes of lactose and touches of chocolate. Bitter, roasty flavour with notes of yeast, malt and coffee, and touches of lactose an liquorice. Roasty and estery aftertaste with malty touches. Decent stuff.

Bottle. Pours hazy copper brown with airy light tan head. Clear aroma of malt, caramel and yeast, with fruity touches. Bready flavour with notes of caramel malt and yeast and touches of fruit. Estery and bready aftertaste. Well, an ale it is, but it is hard to make head or tale of it, to be honest. Drinkable but just that.

Draught @ the brewpub. Pours murky dark copper brown with airy light tan head. Clear aroma of malt, dried fruit and Belgian yeast. Sweetish flavour of caramel malt, yeast, and fruit. Bitterish, hoppy and roasty aftertaste with notes of malt. A decent Dubbel, very good for one that is not made in Belgium, and very nice as such, too.

Draught @ the brewpub. Pours slightly hazy copper brown with airy light tan head. Clear aroma of malt, caramel and nuts, with estery touches. Bitter, roasty and coffeelike flavour with notes of caramel malt and touches of nuts and hops. Spicy and roasty aftertaste with notes of caramel malt. Decent. Not sweet, like a number of beers of this style tend to be.

Draught @ the brewpub. Pours hazy amber with airy white head. Clear sroma of malt and yeast, with sourish touches. Bitter flavour of hops and grass, with estery and malty touches. Bitter and estery aftertaste with malty notes. Not bad, but I am wondering where the fruity notes have gone.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a hazy golden with a lacing white head. Subtle citrus aroma. Medium body, sweet malts, a little biscuity. A hint of diacetyl perhaps, but nothing too compromising. Faint late bitterness. Decently drinkable. 190521

Nearly black, huge lasting beige head. Roast and dark choc aroma with a little licorice. Bittersweet flavour, licorice, roasted malt. Nice dry and bitter finish.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours black with a vague, orangey tint and a huge and lacing beige head - quite a lively pour. Soft dark chocolate and a hint of vanilla in the nose. Medium body, soft on the palate, lightly seet roast, a licorice touch and very subdued bitterness. Prety straight and solid Porter really. 040620
