0,5 l bottle purchased at the brewery a few weeks ago. BB 31.10.2028. Deep dark red golden in the glass, slightly cloudy, two finger white foamy head. Looks good. Sweet malty dry aroma, toasted caramel, fresh hoppy with licorice. Taste starts dry malty, toasted with a lot of coffee. Also caramel. More coffee in the second part. Some alcoholic bitterness. Below average carbonated. Nice one.

0,5 l bottle purchased at the brewpub. BB 31.10.2027. Pours out deep black and oily, huge two finger intensive foamy and stable beige head. Looks really good. Roasted malty aroma, vanilla and choco.Taste is dark roasted malty, increasing dry, with bitterness. Some coffee and vanilla, metallic hints. Low carbonation. Thick texture. Nice stuff.

0,5 l bottle purchsed at the source. Bryg 302, BB 31.12.27. Now listed with 6,8% abv. Black in the glass, two finger stable foamy beige head. Looks freally good. Smooth malty, choco, lactose and soft smoke on the nose. Taste starts intensive malty, roasty with smoke elements. Nuts, choco and lactose in the second row. Pleasant long lasting bitterness in the aftertaste. Great stuff!

0,5 l bottle purchased at the brewery today. BB 31.05.2027. Cloudy pale copper to nearly red in the glass with a nearly two finger stable light tanned foamy head. Looks really good. Malty grainy aroma. Taste starts malty, light toasted, caramel and peanut bars. More on the pale grainy side with alcocholic components in the second part. Not a typical Heller Bock but one of the better ones. Enjoyable stuff.

Bottle @ the brewpub, Varde. Pours clear amber with stable beige head. Clear aroma of yeast, malt, and caramel. Bitter, hoppy flavour with sweet notes of caramel malt and touches of yeast. Hoppy amd malty aftertaste. Decent.

Bottle @ the brewpub, Varde. Pours cloudy dark brown with stable beige head. Clear aroma of malt and yeast, with touches of smoke and hops. Bitter, roasty and hoppy onset, giving way to sweet notes of smoke and malt, and touches of yeast. Smoky and roasty aftertaste with estery notes. Yummy.

Draught @ the brewpub, Varde. Pours glear golden with airy but stable white head. Clear aroma of yeast and malt, with touches of hops and hints of metal. Bitter flavour of hops, with estery notes and malty touches. Bitter aftertaste with touches of yeast and metallic hints. Reasonable for the style. Quite clean, but it might be nicer without the metallic nuances.

Bottle, 5.4%. Caramelly aroma with spicy hop notes. Deep chestnut colour, seems clear. Very big stable rocky off-white head. The flavour is very malty, but not sweet. Has a powerful nutty note with biscuit and more caramel. Bready, nutty and caramelly finish and aftertaste. I did not expect much from this beer (style), but I was pleasantly surprised.

Bottle, 10%. Good malty and caramelly aroma. Almost clear chestnut colour. Big stable off-white head. The flavour is quite sweet, nicely caramelly with a big dose of spicy, noble hops. Very bitter, but it does not show too much until the aftertaste. I do love me a sweet and strong Doppelbock.

Bottle from the brewpub. Pours nearly clear light amber with stable off-white head. Clear aroma of malt, with hoppy and estery touches. Bitter, hoppy flavour with sweet notes of malt and yeast, and touches of caramel. Acidic aftertaste with hoppy and estery touches. Reasonable, but tye finish could be better.
