Bottle at RBWG grand tasting. Second to last pour. Pours yellow gold with white head. Nose and taste of fresh ginger root, honey and light citrus. Medium body. Lovely.

Bottle - Cherry and honey in perfect balance. Clear ruby red with almost no head. Sweet honey and a bit of tart cherries in perfect balanced. Not to sweet or tart, this is one of the highlights for me at the RBWG.

RBWG14 Trip Rating #20. Bottle shared by deyholla at the RBWG Welcome Dinner. Pours a dark red-purple color with weak legs. Aroma of sweet honey, earth, grapes, berries. The taste is tart berries with a strong honey finish. Medium bodied.

Bottle at RBWG Grand Tasting. Pours clear, very pale yellow. Slight menthol notes, rich honey, slight citrus notes, alcohol warmth. Full bodied, sticky and chewy. Sweet finish with chilly menthol, mild ginger spiciness, thick honey. Interesting.

Bottle thanks to my Mom. Pours a clear deep red with no head whatsoever. Aroma has a great rich cherry note with a bit of tartness and dry honey underneath. Flavor has a great cherry note that bass bit of a tart bite int the finish that is joined by a dry honey note.

Bottle thanks to my mom! Pours a near clear very deep ruby with no head whatsoever. Aroma is full of blackberries with a bit of tartness, a hint of plum and mainly dry honey underlying. Flavor is full of tart blackberry that have a hint of acid and finishes with dry honey.

Bottle shared at the B I G tasting, big thanks to Jacky L and his hic ways, 03/01/14. Pours a solid claret with no head. Nose is cherry drops, rich fruit, sweet cherry Bakewell. Taste comprises a big cherry hit, light booze, stewed cherries, sugars, all about the cherries! Full bodied, fine carbonation, sweet closure. Decent mead.

The taste is honey, grapes, blackberries, toasty notes. Medium bodied, chewy texture, acidic and hot, lingering tartness, a bit rough. A little disappointing.

Huge thanks to jackl for the chance to try this! Pours a dark purple color, strong legs. Aroma of intense fruit, currants, cherries, blackberries, strong honey, clove and cinnamon in the finish. The taste is intense dark fruits, grapes, cherries, honey, mild spice. Lingering tartness, medium bodied, low heat. Very nice mead.
