Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours an almost clear golden with a dense white head. Very odd and not overly pleasant mashy aroma. Thin body, again very mashy - kinda like steeped unfermented grain. No real traces of the original Hefe. Light bitterness in the finish. 210210

The bottle looks very good, the beer in the glass also. Starts strong, quite yeasty, fruity notes of peach and apricots. Also a bit earthy-woody. Very drinkable and good weizenbock!

Very dense, fine beige head over hazy yellow bier. Banana & some cloves, with citrus. Sour-fruity with many yeast notes, sweet fruity background. Very spritzy, with wheatslickness, medium bodied. Very ubiquitous Hefeweizen.

The bottle looks simple, but good. The beer in the glass light yellow, modest turbid. Starts yeasty and fruity like banana, fine malty and modest sweet. Very well balanced finish. Quite drinkable. Had it some years ago and didnt like it that much. Now I really liked it!

Chestnut brown. Shot of yeast at the end creates its own layer at the top of the glass. Rich banana-chocolate nose typical of a good dunkelweizen. Wheaty taste. Somewhat flat. Hints of chocolate. Despite an assertive nose, not much going on.

500ml bottle bought at Reading BF 09, drunk at home. Certainly lots of weisse in this. God I mean completely opaque white/orange. Thick lasting off white head. Tastes fine though. Must be the uglisest beer I’ve ever had. Fresh weizen aroma. Yeast and cereal. Good fullnes in mouth, the extra alcohol gives it some booziness. Some lemon tangerine flavours on the finish with more wheaty flavours. From the look of it you would think it would taste awful, but in the mouth it’s full and tasty. Decent

Bottle. A slightly unclear, amber beer with a beige head of moderate size. Weak nose with caramel and some banana. A little touch of spicyness too. Caramel, banana, sweetness and a touch of licorice. Weak finish with caramel, some banana and spices, but not much bitterness. Low on carbonation, at least according to the style, and medium bodied. Easy to drink, but rather boring. Lacks on both aroma, flavor and effervescence. (081031)
