Bottled. Hazy yellow colour, mediumsized creamy white head. Aroma is wheat, citrusfruit, some spices, yeast and banana. Flavour is spiced, bananas, some wheat and yeast. Also some fruityness is there balancing it up. Pleasant but boring.

Bottle at GBBF 2007. Cloudy dark brown gold colour with lasting beige thick head. Banana, decent fullness in mouth. Very full for a German beer. Nice spice. Good fullness and very pleasant.

Bottle: Deep golden coloured, small lacing white head, delicate sweet-grainy, a bit musty-cellary nose; quit strong sweet flavour, light to medium bodied; grainy and sweet finish with a touch of vegetables. No pleasure.........

(bottle) Clear, golden colour with a beautiful, quite persistent foamy white head. Discreet aroma: sweetish strawy malty, slightly bready nose with light herbal hops. Sweet flavour, medium to light bodied, moderate carbonation. Strawy malty taste with subtle fruity notes; sweet malt-accented finish with a low level of bitterness and a whiff of hops. Mediocre brew.

Pours a dark cloudy colour with a fair ammount of brown head. A nice spicey aroma of cloves. Spicey taste offset with some citric flavours and a fruit sweetness, leaves a nice warming aftertaste. Like most German Dunkelweizens I’ve tried this was very tasty.

500ml bottle at "Manne", Irgertsheim. This weizenbock turned out to be a very good version of its style. Well balanced wheaty tartness all the way through. Moderate haze level to an orange body under a filmy layer of foam. Aroma has got noble notes of wheat and yeast. The rich and comprehensive taste starts with an initial yeasty touch followed by tart dark fruits and spicies. Lingering tail with the sweetness from caramel and light vanilla. Medium to full bodied. A good partner to local made cheese (22.06.2007).

500ml vom Fass. Cloudy, dark brown body with a short-lived head. Aroma of dark fruits and clove. Fairly vague taste of clove spiciness and sweet fruity esters. Dry ending. Moderate palate (Irgertsheim, 21.06.2007).

(Bottle 50 cl) Hazy golden with an off-white head. Fat aroma of banana and yeast. Quite a full body with sweetish fruit notes - in particular lots of banana and peach. Some alcohol in the finish. Quite a solid brew - as most Gutmanns. 030707

Cloudy light amber color; the head disappears quickly. The aroma is simple. The flavor is sweet, even if not sticky, a bit fruity (to start with banana) and candy-like, with a light trace of wheat. Quite good.
