Sounds like it's improved a bit since the previous ratings, but maybe a bit of a mystery as to why they're still making it. Full on wasabi, which I don't really get on with. Not sure what's behind it as wasabi always dominates. Not sure, but can't hate it. Certainly not as rank for me as people have said below. It's just an omiyage beer with a massively overpowering wasabi punch.

Bottle. Blonde. Malt and wasabi in the aroma. Malt, peanuts and wasbi in the flavor. Sweetish. Watery mouthfeel. Almost drinkable.

Okiway, Brooklyn: pours like a pale lager. Aroma is pistachio, rice lager and hints of wasabi. Taste has only the mildest bit of wasabi. Otherwise it is a kind of weird and off style pale lager with a nutty note. Not deserving of the super low rating.

Amsterdam Pubcrawl 2016, @Gollem Amstelstraat, van fles. het enige positieve aan dit bier is de kleur en hoe het er verder uit ziet, voor de aroma en het smaak kan ik maar één ding zeggen.... stront.

35cl Freebie bottle at Gollem Amstelstraat. Clear golden colour, thin white head. Aroma of wasabi, Japanese savoury snacks, stale grainy lager. Flavour is wasabi and cheap lager, really bad and burning as well. Light bodied. Thanks for the bottle guys, you sure know what to give away for free ;-)

Bottle at Gollem Amstelstraat during pubcrawl. Courtesy of Gollem, thanks! Hazy yellow with white head. Disgusting smell, lot of onion, fresh peeled peanuts, wasabi, vegetal fart hell. Almost no carbonation, doesn’t help. Swamp thing. Nasty stomache disease fart. Sickly bloodbelch. Thin body, strong aroma. Enjoy! --- Beer merged from original tick of Wasabi Biwasa no Rubi on 22 Dec 2017 at 18:39 - Score: 1. Original review text: 0.8

Bottle at Gollem Amstelstraat, thanks for the free tick! Slight hazy golden with white head. Poop, vomit, sweet malts. Not much more basically, a lager with poop. Under medium sweet and bodied, as if anyone would care. Poop.

Sampled from bottle at Gollem Amstelstraat Amsterdam. Gift from pub owner. Unclear orange color, no head. Aroma is absolutely disgusting, appaling, vomit, diarrhea and everything filthy you can possibly think of. I can’t even start to describe the flavor. This is absolutely impossible to drink.

330 ml bottle from Hakone. This beer should have been brewed from the hot-spring water, some vanadium seems to have set into the bottom of the bottle. Pours like a whit homebrew - light yellow, hazy, almost no head, completely flat. Aroma is faint and if anything has some herbal yeast, not that much anything else. Taste has some yeast, spices and herbal character. Bit of carbonation and only very limited amount of malt. No hops. No aftertaste. Drinks pretty much like water. Actually I expected worse, I could even finish this one.
