Review based on the BJCP2021 guidelines (style 16A). Bottle 33 cl - Batch NATA001 (BB: 12/2028). AROMA: medium roasted aroma with notes of milk chocolate with slight sweetness. faint sulphur notes. APPEARANCE: very dark amber color and clear against light. slight ruby highlights. medium, creamy, beige to light brown head with good retention. TASTE: initial medium-high roasty flavor (burnt) with a slight sweet coffee profile. medium bitterness. finishes roasty and dry. unbalanced. MOUTHFEEL: medium-low body with medium carbonation. Slight astringency. OVERALL: a sweet stout without a decisive sweet counterpoint from lactose to the strong roastiness. needs a revision to its formulation.

AROMA: medium-high cereal husk aroma with slight acidic background. very faint malt with grainy note. APPEARANCE: translucent yellow body. medium-low white head, creamy, with ok retention. TASTE: initial medium-low to low cereal husk flavor with low grainy background. medium-low bitterness with a semi-dry to dry finish. MOUTHFEEL: low body with medium-low carbonation. slight astringency. OVERALL: a lager with execution problems.
