500ml bottle. Hazy, brown colour, ruby red glimmer, with huge, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Minimally grainy, dark malty aroma, notes of malt lozenge, some husk and hay. Taste is minimally roasty dark malty, subtle sweetness with malt lozenge touch, some husk. Meh.

Actually the unfiltered Königsbacher Pils, but called Zischke to imitate the sound the cork makes when the bottles is opened - a hissing sound considered typical for Kellerbiers. Light yellowish white, dense, sticky, eventually opening head, colour clear golden blonde with slight orangey hue, yeast haziness, even a bit milky when the bottle is completely emptied. Weakish aroma, some lightly sweetish pale malts, vague apple-like fruitiness, yeast, straw, herbal hops. Light malt sweetish taste, lightly yeasty, mineral-like, very faint sourish touch, hop bitterish finish, a bit peppery; fluffy mouthfeel thanks to the yeast. Lacks some of the delicacy and refinement of its Bavarian congenitors.
