Draught at Peppercorn's, 4/22/22. Darker copper-maize-golden. Thin, off-white head quickly recedes to ring. Moderately hazy. Big ester and moderate alcohol mix with a touch of corn, strong smarty-like sugariness and rich pineapple-papaya, bordering on punchy/twangy. Juicy in the mouth, with heavy ester and alcohol, strong sugar, bordering caramel and rather punchy/crude fruit flavors of overripe pineapple, papaya and mango. Soft, malty, slightly sluggish texture.

Draught at Peppercorn's, 4/22/22. Heavily hazy, bordering turbid, maize-golden with a small, firm, white head. Some pine from the Galaxy mixing with earthiness, hints of white wine, peach, orange and lemon. Sparse, biscuit/dough from the malt and moderate ester, including bubble gum, from the yeast add plentiful softness/fruitiness. In the mouth it's malty, well-attenuated. Lots of texture from the oats and wheats, but maybe not quite as much explosive hop juiciness/tropical fruit as I'd expect from this duo. Bit of excess acidity building up as the glass finishes, but no alcohol or flaw.

Draught at Peppercorn's, 4/22/22. Moderately-to-heavily hazy, bright, maize-golden with a firm, small, white head. Pretty interesting/unique character from the hop here, showing a nectarine-melon-sour citrus-like character that's difficult to describe. Biscuit and light honey balance in the background and there are floral and fruity ester notes on the end. No alcohol, twang, flaw. Fairly soft, malty, good attenuation. Some twanginess builds up a bit from the bitterness, but the peach-nectarine-pineapple thing going on is definitely interesting. Has a light tart/sour edge to it and a hint of white grape/white wine, as well.

Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 6

Draught at Peppercorn's, 4/22/22. Mildly hazy, brassy-to-pale-golden. Small, white head atop showing moderately-low retention. Soft nose suggesting a generous helping of yeast ester, grassy-to-lightly piney hops and fairly sparse malts though a touch of honey mixes with the light biscuit. No alcohol or flaw. Light-bodied, fairly soft with grassy/piney bitterness. Certainly no big explosive juice flavors, but ample for its size. Pretty reasonable attenuation. Bitterness/pine gets a bit cumbersome, but it's a minor complaint.

Draught at the brewery (Peppercorn's), 4/22/22. Clear beige-almond skin with auburn tints and a small, light beige head showing low retention. Quite fruity in the nose, with big, round, sweet cherry and seemingly sweet malt underneath. Very minimal ester and phenol - the cherry/sugar seems to mask much of the Belgian character. But it's clean and shows no alcohol. Sweet and fruity, rather simplistic, with dough/honey and white bread. Just a bit too much on the heavy fruitiness and big sugariness without as much yeast character as I'd prefer. Soft, slick texture.
